In order to provide more accurate information about the registration procedure of the newborn, the Embassy or Consulate General will need the following documents:
- Recently legalized and notarized birth certificate of the newborn (with maximum validity of 6 months)
- If you are married and the marriage has not been registered yet in the Belgian Civil Register: a recently legalized and notarized marriage certificate (with maximum validity of 6 months)
- Copies of the passports of both parents
Please note that the legalized and notarized birth certificate will determine the first name of your child.
